Scale
- 26 ounces frozen French fries
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (divided)

- Bake fries for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Slowly add milk while continuously stirring. Add salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne pepper.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Once the fries are done, drizzle the cheese sauce generously over them and serve hot.
Notes
You can make the cheese sauce ahead of time and reheat it. For extra crunch, use an air fryer.
